Crystal Lake Shoe Repair has been doing business for more than 18 years, offering fast shoe repair and quality footwear sales.

Owner Alex Platok is a fourth generation shoe repair specialist. He learned the business from his grandfather who once told him, “Shoe repair will always be necessary so long as people like to wear old comfortable shoes rather than break in a new pair – especially when times are tough.” It’s true that when you compare buying a quality name brand of shoe like Cole Haan or Allen Edmonds, which can cost upwards of $200 or more, to restoring them to perfect condition (including new heels, soles, and polish) for only $45, we feel the choice is easy. And so do our customers which is why they bring their expensive, designer shoes to us for repair. This is why they entrust with us that irreplaceable pair of shoes for which they’ve developed a fondness or sentimental attachment. Whatever the reason, we understand when throwing out your favorite pair of shoes is simply not an option.
